Evaluation and Ranking

The submitted executables will be evaluated based upon two criteria:
1. Generated DEF placement files will be detail placed, globally routed, and detail routed by the Mentor Graphics Olympus P&R tool. Detailed routing quality for the generated placements as evaluated by the Mentor Graphics Olympus detailed router.
2. Placer run-time (multicore implementations are encouraged).

Redhat-6.0 executables will need to be provided for this evaluation. In addition, there will be additional "blind" testing of the final executables for each team on a similar set of unseen benchmark designs.

Evaluations will be run on a machine with the following configuration:

64 bits machine
#cores: 16
Memory: 264GB
Processor speed: 2.70GHz
